SUMMARY ABOUT ME
L inda Nwoke is a multitalented media psychologist, a researcher, leader and manager. I am an experienced professional with extensive knowledge and experience in leadership, mentoring, designing and implementing communication campaigns which span the fields of Market and Social research, Media and Communication, Project and Organizational Management.
My passion for the media started as a child, when my father, introduced me to the world of books through ‘The Basket of Flowers: A Tale for the Young by Christophe Von Schmid, a book that taught me values which has remained with me till date … all through my teenage and young adulthood, rife with a lot of questions and raging emotions, I found answers and direction by reading magazines and books, watching television programmes and listening to the radio.
As I grew, my interest in research developed while in graduate school, this led me to start a career in a market research firm before proceeding to working for a charity arm of an international media organisation as the Head of Research and Learning. During this period I was involved in conducting various market and audience research, contributing to the successful implementation of various social and behaviour change campaigns.
I have spent over a dozen years working closely with the media in various capacities – from assessing the impact of different commercials on the behaviour of prospective consumers, to investigating how traditional and new media creates a change in people’s behaviour, assessing the different production values of different genre of programmes – drama, films, documentaries etc., And ultimately managing an organisation that designs and produces programmes that lead to change – behaviour and social change among other things.
Providing direct management support and implementation services on Social Research, Media and Communication, Organisational and Special Projects are my core areas of interest based on 12+ years of management experience.

MY LATEST WORK
”In all these years, my fascination with the influence of the media on the audience remained. I am interested in projects that show how the media and programme types influence –and are influenced by – personality types, preferences, and demographics. I like to consult on media and communication projects that educate the audiences towards a change in social and behaviour, participate in investigating and gathering data to inform the design of campaigns, evaluating the production process and impact of the project and so on. Thus far, I have been fortunate to experience it all – as an audience, a researcher and a manager/leader. At the core of it all, is my passion, determination and motivation to help people succeed in their projects using evidence-based information”..
I am an award-winning scholar of the prestigious Peter Ajose Alli Award for Best Graduating Student in Social Science, University of Ibadan, 1999. I’m versatile, having managed multicultural teams and travelled to various countries in Africa, Asia, Europe and America.
